Breaking News - Urgent appeal for help:

Ajara suffers under water as floods ravage Western Africa.

Additional threat is an explosion of infectious diseases, particularly cholera and malaria.

"I haven't heard from my family since the entire country came under water. Diseases spreading fast. Families are scattered all over the place."

We need your help now. Please click here for live video.

The Ajara Project was created to help the economically depressed and forgotten people of Ajara villages in Africa.

It is part of RethinkAfrica's programs to assist and draw attention to the little-known villages of Africa, where the overwhelming majority of the people are dying from poverty.

The project is a Resource Center that will help these desperately poor people of Ajara in their struggle against hunger, disease, and poverty-related death.

We seek to involve the people themselves in our efforts to provide them with the resources they need to get out of poverty.
